TEMPROOF®
1200°F ALUMINUM PAINT
For interior or exterior use on heated surfaces such as breaches, dry
kilns, ovens, radiators, stovepipes, boiler fronts, barbecue grills,
mufflers and stacks that are subject to temperatures of 1200°F.
DESCRIPTION
Temproof Aluminum Paint is specially formulated for interior or exterior
use on heated surfaces such as ovens, stovepipes, boiler fronts, BB
que grills, mufflers and stacks that are subject to temperatures of
450° to 1200°F. The product is also an excellent primer for
surfaces not requiring a heat resistant coating. It can also be used
as a finish coat on concrete, brick, wood or metal fences, signs, machinery,
steam pipes, radiators and other surfaces where a heat resistant reflective
finish is needed. It may be applied by brush, spray or dipping. NOTE:
Applying product to wood surfaces will not make them heat resistant.
SURFACE
PREP
The opening to be sealed must be free from frost, moisture,
dirt, rust and loose caulk, putty and mortar.
USAGE
Stir Temproof Alumninum Paint thoroughly before and during
application to keep pigment in suspension.
For best results do not paint when air temperature is below 50°F.
Surface to be painted should be at room temperature. Before applying
remove all rust, grease, oil, dirt and previous coatings in poor condition
from metal surface. Best results and temperature resistance are achieved
when paint is applied to bare, clean metal.
For non-metal surfaces, make sure they are clean and dry, free of dirt,
grease, dust, oil or wax. Brush on paint using minimum pressure, making
sure the final brush strokes are made in the same direction and toward
the previously applied paint. Allow paint to dry 24 hours, depending
on drying conditions, and apply second coat. Allow to dry at least 24
hours before applying heat. Apply heat gradually, if possible.
